Is it okay to go to a baseball batting cage if your practicing for softball?

My friend tells me that it’s very different and shouldn’t go to a baseball batting cage. But, if there is no real pitcher and I still hit a baseball when the machine throws it, it would be easier to hit a softball. If I hit a baseball,hitting a softball would be like hitting a watermelon.

It’s actually good to go to the batting cages. For me, I always went to hit baseballs just for fun. It could probably help you with your swing. :] Anf for me, hitting a baseball and softball really wasn’t different. The softballs are bigger but it’s jsut as easy to hit either of them.
