What is pony league baseball like?

im gonna be playing in the 17-18 league but when i went to the tryout all the player looked like they sucked. this is in texas too, i thought ball players were supposed to be the best here

Palomino (the division of Pony for your age group) is usually the guys who are just a cut below their Legion teams and/or cannot afford to be on a travel team. Usually the quality of a below average HS varsity or good JV team.
